NFL Week 12 Betting Preview: Odds, Trends, and Top Matchups Analysis

If you bet the favorites during Week 11 of the NFL season, your bankroll likely got crushed. The favorites won most of their games at 9-4 straight up last week, but they were decimated against the spread at 3-6-4. Can Thanksgiving deliver some good news for the favorites? NFL Week 12 betting begins with the annual Thanksgiving triple-header on Thursday.

In the early game, the Chicago Bears are a 4.5-point road favorite versus the Detroit Lions. The Bears have won four in a row SU and ATS. In their last five as a road favorite, however, they’re only 2-3 SU and 1-4 ATS. Chicago defeated Detroit 34-27 as 7-point home chalk in Week 10. Detroit has won its last five at home versus the Bears while going 3-2 ATS.

The second Thanksgiving game is the Washington Redskins at the Dallas Cowboys as a 7.5-point underdog, with Washington missing injured starting quarterback Alex Smith. Starting in his place will likely be Colt McCoy. In Week 7, Washington upset Dallas 20-17 as a 1.5-point underdog. Including that loss, Dallas is 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in its last five versus Washington. The Redskins are 4-7 SU in their last 11 games in Dallas, but they’re 9-2 ATS.

NFL Week 12 Betting Preview: Falcons Heavy Underdogs at Saints

The late Thanksgiving game sees the Atlanta Falcons visiting the New Orleans Saints as a 13-point underdog. Atlanta is 3-5 SU and 2-6 ATS in its last eight games and on the road, it’s an awful 3-9 ATS in its last 12. In Week 3, New Orleans defeated Atlanta 43-37 as a 1.5-point road underdog. The Saints have won nine straight at 8-1 ATS, and when favored by double digits, they’re 5-1 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the surging Indianapolis Colts host the Miami Dolphins as 10-point chalk. The Colts have won four straight at 3-0-1 ATS and they’re a highly profitable 11-2-1 ATS in their last 14 games in November. Miami is coming off its bye 2-5 SU and ATS in its last seven games. On the road, the Dolphins are 1-9 SU and ATS in their last 10.

The Pittsburgh Steelers carry their six-game winning streak into Denver this week, where they face the Broncos as a 3-point road favorite. Pittsburgh is 5-0-1 ATS during its streak and on the road it’s 10-0-1 SU and 7-3-1 ATS in its last 11. Denver improved to 4-1 ATS in its last five after upsetting the Los Angeles Chargers last week. As a home underdog, the Broncos are 6-4 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10.

NFL Week 12 Betting Preview: Vikings Favored in Sunday Nighter

On Sunday night, the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers as a 3-point favorite. The Packers and Vikings tied 29-29 in Week 2 with the Vikings listed as 1.5-point chalk. Green Bay has lost seven straight on the road at 1-5-1 ATS. In their last six games versus the Packers the Vikings are 4-1-1 SU and 4-2 ATS.

The NFL Week 12 odds concludes Monday night with the Tennessee Titans visiting the Houston Texans as a 4.5-point underdog. Tennessee is 6-3 ATS in its last nine, and in its last seven within the division, it’s 6-1 SU and ATS. The Texans have won seven straight at 4-3 ATS and they’re 1-5 ATS in their last six at home. In Week 2, Tennessee edged Houston 20-17 as a 3-point home underdog.
