NFL Betting Lines: Week 8 Odds, Trends, and Top Matchups Preview

The Minnesota Vikings will look to keep their recent surge going in Week 8 when they face the Cleveland Browns as a 9.5-point favorite in London, England. The Vikings have won three in a row straight up while going 2-1 against the spread. Cleveland has lost eight straight games at 2-5-1 ATS.

Also favored away from home this week are the Dallas Cowboys, a 2.5-point favorite at the Washington Redskins. Dallas is 6-15 ATS in their last 21 versus the Redskins, but they’ve won their last four in Washington at 3-1 ATS. Washington has lost three straight ATS and five of their last seven, but as a home underdog they’re 7-2 SU in their last nine.

The Atlanta Falcons may have lost three straight SU and ATS, but they’re still a 4.5-point road favorite this week against the New York Jets. Atlanta is 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five games as a road favorite. The Jets have lost their last two, but own a respectable 4-1-1 ATS record in their last six games. The Jets have also won four straight ATS as a home underdog.

The Cincinnati Bengals are a surprising 10-point home favorite this week against the hapless Indianapolis Colts. Cincinnati is 3-4 SU and ATS in their last seven at home, including three SU losses as the favorite. The Colts have dropped four in a row on the road SU and ATS, but against Cincinnati they’re 9-2 SU and 7-4 ATS in their last 11.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are small 2.5-point favorites this week against the Carolina Panthers. Carolina has lost two straight, both as the favorite, but as an underdog they’re 7-2 ATS in their last nine games. Tampa Bay is on a three-game losing streak, and they’re 0-4-1 ATS in their last five. In their last eight versus Carolina the Bucs are 2-6 SU and ATS.

On Sunday night the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Detroit to face the Lions as a 3-point road favorite. The Steelers have reeled off back-to-back wins SU and ATS, and on the road they’re 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10. Detroit is 1-3 SU and ATS in their last four and 3-7 SU and ATS in their last 10 games. Pittsburgh is 8-1 SU in their last nine versus Detroit, but only 4-5 ATS.

And in the Monday nighter, the Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos as a 7.5-point favorite. Both sides have lost two in a row SU and ATS. Denver has lost four straight on the road both SU and ATS, while the Chiefs are 4-3 SU and ATS in their last seven at home. Kansas City has won their last three versus Denver SU and ATS, but in Kansas City the Broncos are 5-1 SU in their last six.
