NFL Betting Lines: Week 16 Odds, Trends, and Top Matchups Preview

Week 16 of the NFL season kicks off Saturday with an important matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore is just outside the AFC Wild Card picture right now and need every win they can get and some help to get in. They’re a 14-point home favorite against the Colts and have gone 9-2 straight up and 7-4 against the spread in their last 11 at home. The Colts have lost five straight and on the road they’re 1-8 SU and 2-7 ATS in their last nine.

Also on Saturday the Minnesota Vikings are 9-point favorites visiting the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been shut down for the season and placed on injured reserve; Rodgers was injured the last time Green Bay played Minnesota and they lost 23-10 as a 3-point favorite. Minnesota is 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10, but only 1-6-1 SU and 2-6 ATS in their last eight in Green Bay.

On Sunday, AFC East rivals clash when the New England Patriots host the Buffalo Bills as 12-point favorites. After last week’s win over Pittsburgh, the Patriots are 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10. Buffalo holds the final Wild Card spot after going 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four games. The Patriots routed Buffalo 23-3 earlier this month and they’re 10-2 SU in their last 12 matchups.

One of the most important games on the schedule this weekend is the Atlanta Falcons at the New Orleans Saints. Atlanta defeated the Saints 20-17 just two weeks ago and has won three straight against them with a 2-1 record ATS. New Orleans is 1-4 ATS in their last five games, but at home they’ve won six straight while going 3-3 ATS.

One team will see their playoff chances go up in smoke on Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys host the Seattle Seahawks. The Cowboys are a 5-point favorite and welcome back running back Ezekiel Elliott from his six-game suspension. Without Elliott Dallas has won three straight at 2-0-1 ATS. Seattle has dropped their last two games SU and ATS, but on the road they’re 4-1 SU and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five.

Christmas Day delivers a pair of Monday games this week, starting with the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Houston Texans as a 10-point road favorite. Pittsburgh had an eight-game winning streak snapped last week, and as a road favorite they’re only 2-4 ATS in their last six games. Houston has stumbled down the stretch with a 1-7 SU record and 3-5 ATS mark in their last eight games.

The Monday nighter is the Oakland Raiders at the Philadelphia Eagles as a 9-point underdog. Oakland has struggled on the road this season with a 2-6 record SU and 1-6-1 mark ATS in their last eight games. Philadelphia has won eight straight at home with a 7-1 ATS record, but against the Raiders they’re 1-4 ATS in their last five games.
