NFL Betting Lines: Week 12 Odds, Trends, and Top Matchups Preview

Week 12 of the NFL season begins with the usual three games on Thanksgiving Thursday, with the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys front and center

The Lions are home to the division-rival Minnesota Vikings as a 3-point underdog. Detroit has won their last three games while going 2-0-1 against the spread, and earlier this season they upset Minnesota 14-7 as a 2.5-point underdog. Minnesota has won six straight at 5-1 ATS, but they’re only 3-6 SU and 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games.

Dallas is home to the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday, and that game is being listed as a pick’em. Dallas has lost their last two games SU and ATS, and at home they’re 1-3 SU and ATS in their last four. The Chargers are 5-1 ATS in their last six games, and in their last four versus Dallas they’re 3-1 SU and ATS.

The late Thanksgiving game this year sees the Washington Redskins host the New York Giants as a 7.5-point favorite. New York stunned the Kansas City Chiefs 12-9 as a 10-point underdog last week but they’re still only 2-9 SU and 4-7 ATS in their last 11. Washington is 1-4 SU in their last five, and 2-5 ATS in their last seven. Against the Giants Washington is 2-6 SU and ATS in their last eight.

Moving to Sunday, the game of the week could be a battle of division leaders between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are a 2.5-point favorite but in their last 10 home games they’re only 2-8 SU and 2-7-1 ATS. New Orleans has won eight straight with a 6-2 ATS mark, but they’re 2-5 ATS in their last seven against the Rams.

The Kansas City Chiefs will try to turn things around this week as a 10-point home favorite versus the Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs are 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five after starting the season 5-0. The Bills have lost their last three games SU and ATS and they’re terrible on the road with 1-6 record SU and 1-5-1 mark ATS in their last seven.

The NFL-best Philadelphia Eagles are a 14-point home favorite this week versus the Chicago Bears. Philadelphia has won eight in a row at 7-1 ATS, and at home they’ve won their last seven while going 6-1 ATS. Chicago has lost three straight with a 1-1-1 ATS record, but they’re a surprising 4-1 ATS in their last five games on the road against teams with winning records.

Week 12 concludes on Monday night with the Baltimore Ravens hosting the Houston Texans as a 7-point favorite. Neither side has much to write home about right now, as Houston is 2-4 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six, while Baltimore is 3-5 SU and 3-4-1 ATS in their last eight. Baltimore is 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in their last nine home games, while Houston stinks on the road at 1-5 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six.
