NFL Gambling Lines: NFC Championship Betting Odds Update

If the oddsmakers are right, expect to see the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams or Chicago Bears representing the NFC in the Super Bowl in February. On the latest NFC championship odds, the Saints, Rams and Bears are far ahead of every other team in the conference.

The Saints are the favorite at +130, followed by the Rams at +200 and the Bears at +450. No other team in the NFC is receiving triple-digit odds right now on those NFL gambling lines.

The Saints still look like the ones to beat in the NFC. That is in spite of their mediocre performance against the Carolina Panthers, and a recent loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Drew Brees is among the favorites for the NFL MVP award and leads the No. 2 scoring offense in the league. The Saints look primed to lock up home-field advantage throughout the postseason. That could come in handy, since they have won six straight playoff games at home.

NFC Championship Odds: Rams Odds on the Decline

The Rams have seen their odds suffer a bit lately after they lost their last two games. The Rams were favored in both games, including being favored by nearly two touchdowns in last week’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Los Angeles has what appears to be two easily winnable games remaining in the regular season against the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers, so this may be the most profitable odds you’re going get on the Rams if you think they’ll take the conference.

The Bears sitting at +450 on the NFC championship odds would have been laughable a few months ago. Seriously, before the season started the Bears were +8000 underdogs to win the NFC on the NFL gambling odds. Backed by the No. 1 defense in the NFC, the Bears have surprised everyone and even have a win over the Rams.

After the big three, the next in line on the NFC futures are the Cowboys at +1300. The Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks are next, both at +1800.

The Cowboys haven’t even locked up a playoff spot, thanks in part to their meltdown last week against the Indianapolis Colts. Dallas is a tough team to figure out this season. They have wins over the Saints and Eagles. However, they also have losses against the Carolina Panthers, Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans. To win the NFC title, the Cowboys would likely need to win at least one road playoff game, which is unfortunate since they haven’t won a playoff game on the road since 1993, losing seven straight since then.

NFC Championship Gambling Lines: Eagles Back in Playoff Picture

The Eagles were left for dead by most before three wins in their last four games pushed them back into the NFC playoff picture. Carson Wentz is sidelined by another late-season injury, but maybe that isn’t a problem. When Wentz went down last season, Philadelphia went on to win a Super Bowl behind Nick Foles. What if history repeats itself and he does it again?

The Seahawks are still in a wild card spot in the NFC. Nevertheless, they didn’t do themselves any favors by losing to San Francisco last week. It gets even tougher this week for Seattle against Kansas City at home, before they close out the regular season with what should be an easy win over Arizona. However, the Seahawks will play on the road if they do make the playoffs. This is bad news, since they are 2-11 in their last 13 road games in the postseason.
