NFL Betting Futures: NFC Division Odds Have Rams as Massive Chalk In West

If you haven’t already bet on the Los Angeles Rams to win the NFC West, your chances of making any real money on the wager are likely gone. With the season nearly half over, the Rams are massive favorites to win the division at -10000 at sportsbooks. The Rams are easily the largest favorites, according to the updated NFC division odds.

At 7-0 on the season, the Rams have almost as many wins as two teams in their division have losses. That would be the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals, both at 1-6. The 49ers are +10000 longshots to win the division while the Cardinals are at +15000. The only team being given even a small chance are the 3-3 Seattle Seahawks at +1200.

Updated NFC Division Odds: Redskins Small Favorites on NFC East Odds

While the NFC West race appears to be already over, the toughest division to call in the NFC right now may be the East. The Redskins lead the division at 4-2 and they’re also the favorites on the NFC East futures at +140. The Philadelphia Eagles, who have stumbled to a 3-4 record, are close behind at +175.

The Dallas Cowboys are also 3-4 and are listed at +225 after adding Amari Cooper this week. The only team not in the running are the 1-6 New York Giants at +5000.

In the NFC South, the New Orleans Saints have all the momentum after winning five straight. They’re the division favorites at -275. The Carolina Panthers are right behind them in the division at 4-2. However, the oddsmakers don’t have as much faith in them and have listed them at +300. If the Panthers can keep pace with the Saints for a couple months, they could have a shot as two of their final three games of the season are against New Orleans.

The longshots in the NFC South division are the 3-4 Atlanta Falcons at +1100 and the 3-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers at +2500.

Updated NFC Division Odds: Vikings are Even-Money on NFC North Odds

In the NFC North, the favorites are the 4-2-1 Minnesota Vikings at even money. Minnesota currently leads the division by only one game on the Green Bay Packers, and according to their records, all four teams are still in the running. Minnesota has a big test this week against the Saints, in which NFL Week 8 odds has as a pick’em. Then, the Vikings have a three-game stretch versus divisional opponents. That should have a big effect on the division standings.

Green Bay at +300 hasn’t won back-to-back games all season and they’re 1-1-1 in the division so far. It gets really tough for Green Bay coming off their bye this week as they face the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots back-to-back on the road.

Chicago, sitting at +375, was looking like a legitimate contender for the division after they won three straight. That may have been smoke and mirrors though, as the wins came against Seattle, Arizona and Tampa Bay, and they’ve since lost back-to-back games. Their fate in the division could be written in a few weeks, when they face Detroit twice with Minnesota sandwiched in the middle.

Detroit is an underdog at +600 and may be the toughest team to read. They have wins over New England and Green Bay, but they’ve lost to the Jets, San Francisco and Dallas. They have back-to-back road games against Minnesota and Chicago coming up, which could predict their future in the division.
