Eagles, Packers, Panthers, Cardinals Top NFC Odds

The Philadelphia Eagles are tied for second place in the NFC East standings heading into Week 9 of the season, but they’re the betting favorite at the online sportsbooks on the latest odds to win that division title.

The Eagles are listed as the +140 favorites on the odds to win the NFC East division title this year despite their 3-4 record on the season. The New York Giants are actually the NFC East division leaders at 4-4 on the season, while the Washington Redskins are tied with the Eagles with a 3-4 mark.

New York, though, is a small step back of the Eagles at +150 on the latest odds to win the NFC East division title, with the Redskins farther behind at +500 on those betting futures at the sportsbooks. The Dallas Cowboys, last in the division at 2-5 on the season, are the +700 longshots on the NFC East odds.

Meanwhile, the biggest division favorite in the NFC right now are the Green Bay Packers, who sit as -700 chalk on the odds to win the NFC North title. The Packers are coming off their first setback of the season, a loss to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Sunday night, dropping them to 6-1 heading into Week 9.

The Minnesota Vikings, a strong 5-2 on the season and just a game behind the Packers in the division, are the +350 second-favorites on the odds to win the NFC North, with the Chicago Bears at +15000 and the Detroit Lions at +20000. Chicago is just 2-5 on the season, with Detroit in the division basement with a record of 1-7.

The Carolina Panthers, who play the Packers this week, are 7-0 on the season and the -210 favorites on the odds to win the NFC South division title. The Atlanta Falcons, second in the division at 6-2 through their first eight games, are a step back at +225 on the division futures.

Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints are then at +900 on the NFC South odds, having rebounded to sit at 4-4 on the season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are just 3-4 on the season and in last place in the NFC South, and they’re back at +5000 on the odds to claim the division title.

And out in the NFC West it’s the Arizona Cardinals who lead the way with a 6-2 record to go along with their -140 odds at the online sportsbooks to claim the division title. The Seattle Seahawks, third in the division at 4-4, are second on the NFC West odds at +190.

That has the St. Louis Rams third on the odds to win the NFC West division title at +500 despite their second-place standing in the division at 4-3 on the season. The San Francisco 49ers, at 2-6 through their first eight games of the season, are well down the NFC West division odds as +20000 longshots.
