Undefeated Teams Top Super Bowl 50 Betting Odds
Five teams remain undefeated heading into Week 8 of the NFL season, and they sit amongst the top seven teams on the updated odds to win Super Bowl 50 at the sportsbooks.
The New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and Carolina Panthers are all 6-0 through their first six games of the season, but it’s New England and Green Bay that sit as the clear top favorites on the odds to win Super Bowl 50.
The Patriots are the +260 favorite on the Super Bowl 50 odds as they try to win back-to-back championships, with the Packers just a step behind them at +325 on those betting futures. New England is at home against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night this week, while Green Bay is on the road against fellow unbeaten Denver.
And the Broncos are at +1400 on the updated Super Bowl 50 odds, just behind the +1200 Bengals and just ahead of the +1600 Panthers. Peyton Manning and the Broncos have scored the fewest points in the AFC West so far this season, but their defense has allowed just 102 points – the lowest total in the AFC.
The two teams amongst the Super Bowl 50 favorites that have been tagged with losses this season are the Arizona Cardinals at +1000 and the Seattle Seahawks at +1400. Arizona is 5-2 on the season after beating the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, but they’re just 2-2 in their last four games.
The Seahawks are below .500 at 3-4 on the season, causing them to slip down the ranks of Super Bowl odds leaders and putting their playoff chances in jeopardy. Seattle stopped a two-game losing streak with a 20-3 win at San Francisco last week.
The next tier of the Super Bowl 50 odds has the Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, and Pittsburgh Steelers all at +2000. The Falcons are 6-1 on the season and just behind the Panthers in the NFC South standings, while the Giants lead the NFC East at 4-3, and the Steelers are 4-3 as well as they look to welcome back starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
The New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts are then both at +2800, with the Jets 4-2 on the season but the Colts only 3-4. Indianapolis lost its first two games of the season then won three games in a row before dropping back-to-back contests to the Patriots and New Orleans Saints.
The Minnesota Vikings, off to a solid 4-2 start to the season, are at +4000 on the Super Bowl 50 odds, while the Philadelphia Eagles, 3-2 in their last five games to sit at 3-4 on the season, join the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys at +5000.
The New Orleans Saints, also 3-4 on the season, are back at +6600 on the Super Bowl 50 odds, ahead of the +7500 Miami Dolphins and the +10000 Oakland Raiders. The Buffalo Bills and the Washington Redskins are both pegged at +15000 odds.
Meanwhile, the bottom of the Super Bowl 50 odds features six teams at +50000 – the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, and Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens’ season to date has been a disaster, with just one win in seven games.
