NFL Online Betting – NFL Betting Picks Week 3

Underdogs finished strong once again in Week 2, claiming eight outright victories. Week 3 features just four home underdogs, and three winless teams playing home openers. Here is a sneak peek at the best bets.

Atlanta Falcons @ Dallas Cowboys
Game Line: Atlanta -2 | OU 45

The Dallas Cowboys are undefeated, but without injured quarterback Tony Romo and receiver Dez Bryant. Brandon Weeden played well in place of Romo in last week’s 20-10 win over Philadelphia, but with primary target Jason Witten banged up and not a lock to play, Dallas will be hard pressed to produce offense.

Falcons pivot Matt Ryan racked up a combined 661 passing yards in upset wins over the Eagles and New York Giants, connecting with receiver Julio Jones for 276 yards and two touchdowns. The Cowboys defense has been a saving grace early on, but could get worn down by a busy Falcons attack.

Free Pick: Take Atlanta and give the points. Atlanta 24-19

San Diego Chargers @ Minnesota Vikings
Game Line: Minnesota -2.5 | OU 44.5

The Chargers took a step back last week, dropping a 24-19 decision to Cincinnati, powered by Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton’s three-touchdown performance.

But it was San Diego’s struggles against the ground game that are of concern. And now they must face Adrian Peterson, who set the NFL’s single-game record with 296 rushing yards the last time he played the Chargers. With pivot Teddy Bridgewater now having plenty of options, the Vikings should finally live up to the pre-season hype.

Free Pick: Take Minnesota and give the points. Minnesota 27-22

Chicago Bears @ Seattle Seahawks
Game Line: Seattle -14.5 | OU 43.5

Following a pair of road losses, the Seahawks return home an angry team. After surrendering 61 combined points against St. Louis and Green Bay, it will be back to basics. However, the defense should get a big lift from the return of safety Kam Chancellor, who tallied 80 solo tackles last season.

That is bad news for Bears quarterback Jimmy Clausen, who is expected to start in place of the injured Jay Cutler. Chicago has surrendered 79 points in a pair of SU and ATS losses. With the Seahawks hungry for a win against a bad Bears club, this is a rare opportunity to buck convention and take the double-digit favorite.

Free Pick: Take Seattle and give the points. Seattle 35-14

Denver Broncos @ Detroit Lions
Game Line: Denver -3 | OU 44.5

The Broncos travel to Detroit with a 2-0 SU and ATS record. But with both wins coming as a result of turnovers returned for touchdowns, don’t overhype this Denver team, which has produced limited offense in the early going.

The Lions return home riding a four-game SU losing streak. However, they are undefeated in their last five home games, holding opponents to just 16 points per game over their past four. This game has all the makings of a low-scoring affair, with the Broncos finally running out of fourth-quarter miracles.

Free Pick: Take Detroit and the points. Detroit 20-17
