NFL Week 8 Picks Preview 2026
Week 8 brings the AFC West back to Mile High, where Kansas City tries to bounce back from a 20-3 Sunday night loss in Seattle on six days' rest and at altitude. Unbeaten Minnesota walks into Ford Field to face a Detroit team that is 1-4-1 against the spread, and the winless Chargers cross town to meet the Rams with a patched-together offensive line. New England heads to Miami with a gutted interior line, and Chicago flies to Seattle on 11 days' rest for Monday night.
Pick | Bet Type | Line | Best Book | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Los Angeles Rams | Spread | -6.5 (-110) | Lucky Rebel | 5/5 |
Miami Dolphins | Spread | +7.5 (-120) | BetOnline | 4/5 |
Minnesota Vikings | Spread | +3.5 (-116) | Everygame | 4/5 |
Atlanta Falcons | Moneyline | +117 | Lucky Rebel | 3/5 |
Denver Broncos | Spread | +1 (-110) | BetOnline | 3/5 |
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Chargers are 0-6 straight up and 0-5-1 against the spread, and they score a league-worst 15.0 points per game. The offensive line is the problem. Rashawn Slater, Trey Pipkins, Trevor Penning and Tyler Biadasz are all on injured reserve, Joe Alt and Kayode Awosika are questionable, and Ladd McConkey is in the concussion protocol. Asking that group to keep up with a Rams team coming off a 35-21 win in Las Vegas is too much.
Lucky Rebel has the Rams at -6.5 with standard -110 juice, a cent better than BetOnline's -111. Lay it there.
The risk: the Chargers are coming off a bye, and the Rams are without Davante Adams and kicker Blake Grupe, who is out for the season. Kicking matters near a 6.5-point number, but Los Angeles' offense has the edge in every other phase.
New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins
New England is 2-8 against the spread in its last 10 games against Miami, and this version of the Patriots shows up without most of its interior line. Center Ben Brown is out, and guards Alijah Vera-Tucker, Mike Onwenu and Greg Van Roten are all on injured reserve. The Patriots have also failed to cover two straight, most recently in a 30-24 loss at Chicago.
The hook is the value. BetOnline is dealing Miami +7.5 while Lucky Rebel sits at +7, and an extra half point through a key number is worth the -120 price. Take the divisional dog getting more than a touchdown.
The risk: New England has 10 days' rest after playing Thursday, and Miami is without De'Von Achane, who is on injured reserve.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions
Minnesota is the league's only unbeaten team and 4-2 against the spread after grinding out a 16-10 win over Indianapolis. Detroit has a winning record, but it is 1-4-1 ATS, and Amon-Ra St. Brown is questionable with an ankle injury. The Lions are also missing RB Isiah Pacheco and G Ben Bartch.
BetOnline has Minnesota at +3. Everygame gives you +3.5 at -116, which beats Lucky Rebel's -120 for the same number. Getting the hook in a divisional game expected to finish near a field goal is the play.
The risk: Aaron Jones is questionable, and Minnesota's interior line is thin with G Donovan Jackson and C Nick Samac on injured reserve. Ford Field is a tough place to play.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Atlanta has won two of the last three meetings, including 29-28 in December 2025 and 16-13 in October 2023, and each of the last three was decided by three points or fewer. Tampa Bay is short-handed. Emeka Egbuka and right tackle Luke Goedeke are out, Jalen McMillan is on injured reserve and safety Antoine Winfield is out. The Bucs are 2-4-1 against the spread.
Lucky Rebel has Atlanta at +117 on the moneyline. BetOnline has +105, a 12-cent gap. In a game this close, take the plus money at the better price.
The risk: Tampa Bay just put up 43 points at Carolina, and Atlanta is without RB Brian Robinson and OT Storm Norton.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos
Denver is 5-2 against the spread and 3-0 ATS at home. The Broncos beat the Chiefs 22-19 in November 2025 and have won three of the last five meetings. Kansas City is on six days' rest after scoring three points in a Sunday night loss at Seattle. Now it heads to altitude without WR Rashee Rice and OT Jaylon Moore (both out) or OT Josh Simmons (injured reserve).
BetOnline is the only tracked offshore book with this game on the board, and Denver +1 at -110 is the line to grab. A home team getting points in a divisional game is the spot.
The risk: Kansas City won the Week 2 meeting 31-10, Denver is without CB Pat Surtain, and Jaylen Waddle is questionable with a chest injury.
