NFL Week 4 Picks Preview 2026
Week 4 hands us a loaded card headlined by two AFC heavyweight spots: the undefeated Bills hosting a reeling Patriots offense, and Patrick Mahomes marching into Las Vegas against the last unbeaten team in the AFC West. Thursday night opens with a Steelers–Browns AFC North rock fight in Cleveland, London delivers Colts–Commanders at Tottenham, and Sunday night puts Detroit's offense under the lights in Carolina. We shopped all five offshore books, pinpointed the best number on every play, and locked in five top picks plus a full slate of bonus plays. Here is the card.
Pick | Bet Type | Line | Best Book | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Buffalo Bills | Spread | -5.5 | BetOnline | High |
Kansas City Chiefs | Spread | -4.5 | Bovada | High |
Detroit Lions | Spread | -2.5 | BetOnline | High |
Baltimore Ravens | Spread | -10 | BetOnline | Medium |
Steelers @ Browns | Total | Under 37.5 | BetOnline | Medium |
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
This is a mismatch of units, plain and simple. Buffalo owns the league's number one scoring offense at 33.7 points per game, and it is hosting a Patriots team dragging the 31st-ranked scoring offense onto the field at just 12.0 points per game. New England is also carrying a minus-5 turnover differential and playing without A.J. Brown, who is on injured reserve. There is very little in this profile that suggests the Patriots keep pace in Orchard Park.
The number is where this becomes a hammer. Buffalo is -6.5 at most shops, but BetOnline is still hanging -5.5, a full point below the key number 6. Josh Allen carried a Questionable tag during the week, but the staff downplayed the knee and he is expected to start. Buying the Bills a point cheaper than the market on a double-digit favorite's worth of talent gap is exactly the edge we want.
The one risk is a classic letdown after Buffalo's fast start, plus the chance Allen sits a series or two if the game gets out of hand. Neither concern outweighs a 21-point-per-game scoring gap. Lay the shorter number.
Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas is 3-0 and 3-0 against the spread, but this is the stiffest test the Raiders have seen, and the matchup history is brutal: Mahomes is 13-2 straight up in his career against the Raiders. Kansas City pairs a 29.3-point-per-game offense with a top-five defense allowing just 16.7 points per game. Kirk Cousins has not faced a unit this disciplined, and Vegas is down receiver Jack Bech.
The value lives off the key number. BetOnline is up to Kansas City -5.5, but Bovada and Lucky Rebel are still posting -4.5, a full point cheaper on a road favorite we trust. Take the Chiefs at the shortest available number.
The caveat is that division road games inside the AFC West are rarely comfortable, and the Raiders are playing confident football at home. That is precisely why we are grabbing the extra point rather than reaching to -5.5. Kansas City -4.5 is the play.
Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers
Detroit brings one of the NFL's most complete offenses into Charlotte, led by Jahmyr Gibbs on the ground and Jared Goff spreading the ball, and it draws a Carolina secondary that has been gutted by injury. Jaycee Horn is out for weeks with a torn quad, safety Nick Scott is out, and both Mike Jackson and Jalen Coker are banged up. Carolina is also surrendering roughly 27.7 points per game and ranks worst in the league against the run.
BetOnline holds the edge on the number, listing Detroit -2.5 while every other shop has moved to -3.5. Staying underneath the key number 3 on a Lions team this much more talented is a clear pricing win, and Bryce Young is facing a Detroit front that piled up five sacks in Week 3.
Detroit's defense is the soft spot in this profile, ranked near the bottom in points allowed, so a shootout is on the table. But this is a Sunday-night spot where the Lions' offense should simply overwhelm a short-handed Carolina back end. Lay the -2.5.
Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens
Tennessee is the worst offense on the board. The Titans are averaging roughly 12.3 points per game, scored just 7 last week, and are trotting out a patchwork offensive line with Cam Ward struggling behind it. Baltimore counters with about 30.7 points per game behind Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. On talent alone, this should be a comfortable Ravens win.
BetOnline gives us the best of it at Baltimore -10, a full point and a half below the -11.5 hanging at Bovada and Lucky Rebel. Grabbing a double-digit favorite a point and a half cheaper is meaningful when a late backdoor score is the primary way this bet loses.
This is a Medium-confidence play for a reason: Baltimore's defense ranks around 22nd in points-per-play allowed and can keep Tennessee's backdoor hopes alive, and this sits as a mild sandwich spot ahead of Sunday night against Atlanta. That is exactly why we take the shortest number at BetOnline rather than laying -11.5.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
This Thursday-night AFC North opener is built for the Under. Both offenses are low-volume and low-efficiency: Pittsburgh has produced just one strong offensive showing all season, and Cleveland leans almost entirely on its defense. Add a short week and two banged-up offensive lines, and points figure to be at a premium in this rivalry grind.
The number is the sharpest on the board. BetOnline is posting Under 37.5, a full point lower than the 38.5 available elsewhere, giving us the best of the total market. Deshaun Watson is also 0-3 in his career against the Steelers, which does nothing to inspire confidence in a Cleveland breakout.
The risk is real enough to keep this at Medium: two of Cleveland's three games this season have gone over, so this is a lean rather than a max play. Still, the combination of the lowest number on the market, the short week, and two struggling offenses points to a defensive slugfest. Take the Under 37.5.
Bonus Picks
- Denver Broncos +3 @ Bovada - San Francisco is thin with Nick Bosa out and Mike Evans and Trent Williams questionable, and Denver gets the field goal.
- Green Bay Packers -4.5 @ Lucky Rebel - Tampa Bay is likely without Baker Mayfield, giving the Packers a clear quarterback and rest edge.
- Jacksonville Jaguars +2.5 @ BetOnline - The Jaguars bring an NFL-best scoring defense and cash plus-money at +105 as a road dog inside the key number.
- Dallas Cowboys +3 @ BetOnline - A full field goal across the key number 3, versus +2.5 elsewhere, for a Cowboys team that lives in shootouts.
- Indianapolis Colts -3.5 @ Bovada - Washington is without Jayden Daniels in London, and Indianapolis has the steadier offense at a neutral site.
