Week 1 in the NFL turned out to be a money-loser for bettors who stuck with the favorites. The favorites were a solid 10-5 straight up, but weren’t as successful against the spread at 7-7-1. The Jaguars surprised last week with an upset win over the Houston Texans. Look for another upset win on Sunday. In this matchup the home team has won the last six games. Jacksonville owns a surprisingly strong 6-2-2 against the spread record in their last 10 versus the Titans and a 9-2-2 ATS record in their last 13. At home against Tennessee, the Jaguars are 5-1 straight up and 5-0-1 ATS. Also worth noting, Tennessee is 5-15 ATS in their last 20 road games.

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks
Game Line: Seattle -14 | OU 42

Seattle has completely dominated this matchup for years. Seattle has won seven straight versus the 49ers at 6-1 ATS, and they’re 11-1 ATS in their last 12. At home the Seahawks have covered in nine straight against San Francisco. In their last 18 road games San Francisco is 2-16 SU and 4-13-1 ATS.

The Eagles’ recent road numbers may not exude a ton of confidence in bettors, but they did pick up a road win last week in Washington. Philadelphia is also 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four versus the Chiefs. The Chiefs have trouble delivering at Arrowhead for some reason. In their last five home games, they’re only 2-3 SU and ATS, and they’re a lousy 3-9 ATS in their last 12 as a home favorite.

Game Line: Baltimore -9 | OU 39

The Ravens shut out the Cincinnati Bengals last week. On the road. As an underdog. They’re also 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six versus Cleveland, and 16-2 SU and 12-6 ATS in their last 18. Cleveland can’t win on the road. They’ve lost 13 straight away from home while going 3-9-1 ATS. In their last seven trips to Baltimore they’re 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS.

Detroit Lions @ New York Giants
Game Line: New York -3 | OU 44.5

The Giants’ offense couldn’t get anything going last week against the Cowboys, while Detroit exploded for 35 points against Arizona. An interesting trend in this matchup, the visitor is 7-3 SU and 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The Giants get their second straight night game, which also doesn’t bode well. In their last seven night games the Giants are 2-5 SU.
