Patriots Pulling Away on the Super Bowl 50 Odds

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are just one of three teams that remain undefeated at 8-0 heading into Week 10 of the NFL season, but nonetheless they’ve been pulling away from the pack on the odds to win Super Bowl 50.

The Patriots enter Week 10 as the clear +225 favorites on the odds to win Super Bowl 50, up slightly from their +260 betting line on those NFL futures from two weeks ago. New England is coming off a pair of lopsided wins over the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins and is a large favorite for Week 10 on the road against the New York Giants.

The Green Bay Packers remain second on the odds to win Super Bowl 50, but their recent stumbles have seen them fall from +325 to their current line of +750 on those futures at the sportsbooks.

The Packers, who play host to the Detroit Lions this week as sizable favorites at Lambeau Field, had been cruising along at 6-0 until they dropped back-to-back games to the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers in the past two weeks; both the Broncos and the Panthers had been undefeated when they beat the Packers.

The Arizona Cardinals, also 6-2 on the season, join the 8-0 Panthers in third spot at +800 on the updated odds to win Super Bowl 50 at the sportsbooks, while the Cincinnati Bengals are just a step behind those teams at +1000 on the futures list. The Bengals join the Patriots and the Panthers at 8-0 heading into Week 10.

The Broncos managed to knock off the Packers to hit 7-0 on the season but they were beaten in Indianapolis by the Colts last weekend to pick up their first loss of the season. Still firmly in control of the AFC West division lead, the Broncos are at +1200 on the latest Super Bowl 50 odds.

The Seattle Seahawks then sit at +1400 on the NFL championship futures as they take a two-game winning streak into Week 10 and a key division battle at home against the Cardinals. The Seahawks, after stumbling out of the gate, are back to the .500 mark at 4-4 on the season.

The Giants, leaders in the NFC East despite their middling 5-4 record, are at +1800 on the Super Bowl 50 odds heading into Week 10, with the Minnesota Vikings at +2000. The Vikings are now tied with the Packers for top spot in the NFC North at 6-2 thanks to their current four-game winning streak.

The Steelers, again playing without starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, hold down +2200 odds to win Super Bowl 50 as they try to remain in playoff contention in the AFC, with the Colts at +2800 on those futures along with the Philadelphia Eagles. Indianapolis remains the AFC South leader despite a 4-5 record, while Philadelphia is 4-4 in second place in the NFC East.

Meanwhile, with just one win through their first eight games of the season the Detroit Lions sit tied with the 2-7 Cleveland Browns at the bottom of the Super Bowl 50 odds at +200000, with both teams in danger of falling off that futures list altogether in the weeks ahead.
