NFL Week 10 Betting Picks

Favorites dominated in Week 9 of the NFL regular season, with just five underdogs covering and three winning outright in the 13 games. With the NFL season entering the second half, playoff races are coming into focus, with eight of the 13 games scheduled in Week 10 featuring opening point spreads of six points or more.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills

Game Line: Kansas City -1.5 | OU 41.5

The Kansas Chiefs will continue their fight for respect on NFL betting lines when they take on the Bills this weekend. The 5-3 Chiefs have been dominant in five SU wins in their last six outings, holding opponents to just over 13 points per game in those victories, while going 6-1 ATS in their last seven. The Chiefs posted victories by double-digit margins in four of their last six, but are pegged as favorites for just the fourth time this season.

KC faces a Bills squad that also boasts a strong defense, but has largely been a NFL online betting disappointment. The 5-3 Bills are just 2-4 ATS in their last six and needed late heroics to post recent SU victories over Detroit and Minnesota. While the Bills are coming off a 43-23 rout of the New York Jets two weeks ago, they averaged just over 16.5 points per game in their previous five, and will require an unprecedented offensive effort against the Chiefs’ NFL-leading pass rush.

Free Pick: Take Kansas City and give the points. Kansas City 27-19

Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Jets

Game Line: Pittsburgh -4.5 | OU 45.5

The Steelers travel to MetLife as the hottest team in the NFL, but are relatively slim favorites in NFL betting odds over the Jets, currently the NFL’s coldest club. Led by QB Ben Roethlisberger’s back-to-back six-touchdown performances, the 6-3 Steelers have quickly emerged as legit contenders in the AFC North. In addition to Big Ben’s record-setting play, the Steelers’ defense has been very effective, containing Indianapolis and Baltimore in two convincing victories.

Things have gone from bad to worse for the 1-8 Jets, whose only victory this season came in Week 1 against the winless Oakland Raiders. Michael Vick has replaced the inconsistent Geno Smith at QB, but that has done little to help the Jets who have been beaten by double-digits in four of their last five, while continuing their freefall to the bottom of most NFL statistical categories. It could be another big day for the Steelers’ offense.

Free Pick: Take Pittsburgh and give the points. Pittsburgh 32-13

San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints

Game Line: New Orleans -4.5 | OU 49

San Francisco travels to the Big Easy to take on the Saints in a battle between two of this year’s biggest disappointments in NFL betting picks. The 4-4 49ers have lost their last two SU and ATS, while going 3-5 ATS overall. While the Niners own a respectable defense, ranked third in the NFL against the pass and fifth against the rush, they have blown leads in three SU defeats this season, including a dismal second half performance in last week’s 13-10 loss to St. Louis.

The 4-4 Saints struggled out of the gate this season, but have returned to familiar form, going 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four outings. New Orleans has been particularly strong on the artificial turf at the Superdome, SU winners in their last 11 at home, 9-1-1 ATS. Fueled by QB Drew Brees’ 2,524 passing yards and 15 TDs, the point total has gone OVER in six of the Saints’ eight outings this season, with the trend poised to continue against a Niners team in disarray.

Free Pick: Take New Orleans and give the points. New Orleans 36-18

Tennessee Titans @ Baltimore Ravens

Game Line: Baltimore -10 | OU 44

After a brief stay atop the fiercely competitive AFC North, the 5-4 Ravens find themselves in the division basement and in search of answers following a pair of stunning losses to division rivals, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. While Baltimore is a respectable 5-4 ATS this season, they have struggled against teams in playoff contention, twice losing to Cincy and getting pounded by Indianapolis in Week 5. Fortunately for the Ravens, the 2-6 Titans are well out of playoff contention.

Four of Tennessee’s six losses have been by wide margins, while the other two came after the Titans blew second-half leads, including a record-setting meltdown at home against Cleveland in Week 5. With just 17.1 points per game, Tennessee sports one of the NFL’s worst offenses while their 23rd-ranked defense will likely be under siege against an angry Ravens squad in desperate need of a win to stay in the AFC playoff hunt.

Free Pick: Take Baltimore and give the points. Baltimore 30-13

Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers

Game Line: Green Bay -7.5 | OU 53.5

The Bears and Packers return to action at Lambeau Field following byes in Week 9, rekindling one of the NFL’s best rivalries. The 5-3 Packers will be looking to bounce back from a lopsided 44-23 loss to New Orleans two weeks ago. The loss ended Green Bay’s four-game SU and ATS winning streak, while dropping them a game back of Detroit in the NFC North. However, the Packers have recently rewarded bettors, going 7-0 SU and 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven as favorites on the NFL betting lines.

The 3-5 Bears are 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five, but have enjoyed some success on the road this year. Aside from taking a 51-23 beating in New England two weeks ago, the Bears are a solid 3-1 SU and ATS on the road this season and posted a 27-20 win over the Packers in their visit to Green Bay last season. But with Aaron Rodgers healthy and rested, and Green Bay currently sitting on the edge of the NFC playoff race, it could be another long night for the Bears.

Free Pick: Take Green Bay and give the points. Green Bay 32-23

Carolina Panthers @ Philadelphia Eagles

Game Line: Philadelphia -6 | OU 48

The 6-2 Philadelphia Eagles will look to extend their lead in the NFC East when they welcome the free-falling Panthers on Monday night as strong six-point favorites on the NFL betting lines. The Eagles return home after splitting two games on the road, SU and ATS, with this week’s six-point spread the largest that Philly has enjoyed since being pegged as 10-point favorites over Jacksonville in Week 1. But after losing QB Nick Foles to injury, serious questions hang over the Eagles offense which will now be run by New York Jets castoff Mark Sanchez.

The 3-5-1 Panthers take a four-game winless streak into action on Monday night, along with an offense that has produced just 12 points per game in three straight losses. Carolina is a respectable 5-4 ATS this season, but with just a combined 497 total yards and zero passing TDs from QB Cam Newton in their last two outings, the Panthers will be in tough regardless of who is at the helm for Philadelphia.

Free Pick: Take Philadelphia and give the points. Philadelphia 27-16
